Welcome to the [NEW] TEDxCairo Blog
Welcome!
It’s been a little under a year now since we halted the activity on our old blog on Wordpress.
Initially, we created the blog in February 2011 in an attempt to take the conversations that take place within our community one step further. Our central activity on the blog was the debate which, thanks to you, was a great success. Every week, we posted on controversial statement and asked you to share your thoughts on it. From teaching evolutionary theories in schools to banning smoking ads and outsourcing labor, we covered quite a number of topics.
This is the new blog. The conversation will continue here. But we wanted to make better use of this cyber space. So besides the TED and TEDx inspirations, our selection from the cornucopia of creativity in the world, and a couple of thunks (stay tuned to find out what these are), over here is where you will get to know us more because our plan is to introduce you to the organization of TEDxCairo, rather than just the idea. While you’ll find our talks, cool web finds, our news, and more on Facebook and Twitter (and now Pinterest), over here you’ll get to know our team.
All 35+ members of the TEDxCairo team have access to this blog. They will be sharing their stories, their thoughts and their inspirations with you here.
Stay tuned for the first team-member blog post here. For now, here’s a picture of us from TEDxCairo’s 2011 annual event; Resurrection.
